Orbico group and Log Expert started building a distribution centre in Zdencina

Croatian consumer goods distributor Orbico group and real estate company Log Expert have started building a 40 million euro ($44 million) distribution centre for the needs of Orbico in Zdencina, near Zagreb, the company announced.

– Similar logistics centers have been opened in recent years in Poland and Bulgaria, and we expect this one to be the carrier of development and innovation, just like the previous ones – Orbico added.

The Zdenčina distribution center will cover slightly more than 42,000 m2 of storage space, with various options for storing goods in ambient and temperature conditions. In the first phase, the center will be equipped with a fully automated product picking system, which will enable even better servicing of b2c and b2b customers, and in the later stages, fully autonomous robotic systems that will help Orbico’s employees to do their work easier, faster and more precisely.

– Along with the existing storage capacities, the new distribution center represents a significant step in the development of our logistics capacities and brings new opportunities for the development of Orbico.
