As of today, The third international airport is operating in Serbia, “Morava” airport near Kraljevo

With today’s first flight from Kraljevo to Vienna, the third international airport, “Morava” near Kraljevo, started operating in Serbia.

Deputy Prime Minister, prof. Zorana Mihajlovićc, phD, stated that the investments in air traffic will continue.

– After Belgrade and Nis, the third international airport in Serbia, “Morava”, near Kraljevo, started operating today. For the citizens of Central Serbia, this airport will be of great importance, and I expect that our airline “Air Serbia” will have more flights from “Morava” Airport –  Mihajlovic pointed out.

She adds that so far, more than 25 million euros have been invested in this airport in order to be trained according to all aviation standards.

– What awaits us is the construction of new infrastructure at “Morava” airport in order to create a center for cargo air traffic in Serbia. The plan is to build a completely new runway and all the accompanying contents, which is an investment of around 100 million euros  –  says Mihajlovic.
