Toyo Tire Serbia – The First Shipment

On August 9th, 2022 540 tires were shipped to the USA. That is the first shipment of Toyo Tire Serbia starting from Indjija and we are extremely proud of that fact, just as we are proud of our employees, announced Toyo Tire Serbia.

We are happy to grow and develop alongside the municipality and its people, and we promise to take care of our new home in accordance with the global environment protection policy – because that is how a home should be taken care of.

This time three years ago, on July 30th, 2019, Toyo Tire decided on Indjija as the site of their first European factory. The first shovel went into the ground on December 15th, 2020, they delivered their first shipment on August 9th, and in December we can expect official opening ceremony.

The first shipment, from a new country, with new employees, has a special significance. It marks the beginning of a new era in the life of the company, but also the beginning of a life shared between the company and the people into whose country we arrived, whose circumstances and life we can positively influence, Toyo Tire Serbia stated.

– Today we are standing here proudly looking at the new factory in Indjija’s Northeast zone, a state-of-the-art complex spanning 64 hectares, which will soon be employing over 500 employees, from which we will be shipping approximately 5 million pneumatics a year to the markets of Europe and North America.
