IVECO celebrates significant milestone with the 1,800,000th Daily rolling off the line at Suzzara plant
IVECO celebrates the milestone of 1,800,000 vehicles produced at the Suzzara plant in Mantua, Italy, the facility that has gained a reputation for excellence in light vehicle manufacturing. It is the home of the iconic Daily, a pioneering vehicle that has continuously reinvented itself, introducing many ground-breaking innovations and industry-firsts while remaining true to its DNA.

The Daily has built its enduring success in the market on these unique strengths, leading the high-payload segment with the 7-ton model and serving as a reference point in the natural gas light commercial vehicle sector. The Daily has now further consolidated its position as a leader in sustainable transportation solutions by becoming fully electric across its entire in its whole line-up.
The milestone 1,800,000th vehicle is the new eDaily, the electric twin of the iconic Daily, in a cab version assembled in Suzzara and electrified at the Brescia plant.

Despite the Daily’s market solidity, IVECO has continuously introduced innovations in on-board technology and in-cabin functionality, as well as expanding its portfolio of services enabled by advanced connectivity, to make the Daily the ideal partner for every customer, covering every mission. Since 2007 the plant works to a specific production system that aims for zero faults, wastage and accidents. It involves a process of continuous development, focused on involving every individual operator in the production process.
The 1,800,000th vehicle has been delivered to Tesco, the UK’s leading supermarket. It is part of a home delivery fleet of 571 electrified vehicles the chain has deployed.
Tesco has been running IVECO Daily vehicles in its delivery fleet since 2010. These vehicles are ideally suited to deliveries in urban environments with the class-leading turning circle that makes manoeuvring effortless. The company has chosen IVECO for transitioning its fleet to green transport by introducing the eDaily, which enables zero-emissions deliveries to customers via its innovative modular battery setup. Its electric motor efficiently delivers a strong performance with 140kW and 400Nm of torque deployable. Capable of rapid charging at 80kW, 62 miles of range can be added in just 30 minutes, while a 22kW onboard charger enables Tesco to maximise charging from AC chargers at local stores.
