Bosch continues growth path in Serbia

Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, continues its growth path in Serbia and has seen a successful first half of 2017 in the country. The company now stands on the eighth position on the list of the 15 largest exporters published by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia.

Bosch’s wiper systems factory in Pećinci has been growing steadily since its opening five years ago.

– We expect to continue our positive development in Serbia also in the years to come –  says Jovanka Jovanović, General Manager of Bosch in Serbia.

– In line with this, we significantly increased the investment in our local manufacturing facilities, in our activities within the information and communication technologies sector, as well as into the development of our Serbian workforce. The expansion of the dual education program will be among next year’s priorities.

The total investment in Serbia’s market by Bosch amount over 52 million euros. In 2016 alone company invested around 10 million euros.

Bosch Serbia generated total net sales of 20.7 billion RSD (168.2 million euros) in 2016, including internal deliveries to affiliated companies. Sales to third parties on the Serbian market amounted to 4.7 billion RSD (38.4 million euros) in the same year. The company currently employs more than 1,000 associates in Serbia – a figure that has more than tripled in less than three years and that is expected to increase further.
