Representatives of the logistics sector at the company Nelt and members of management of one of the global leaders specialised in food logistics, the German company Dachser, held a presentation about a service for weekly deliveries of general food product shipments from all over Europe to Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina through the NELT logistical and distribution channels.
The presentation was attended by representatives of the companies interested in this service as well as media representatives. The event was organised in cooperation with the German-Serbian Chamber. After the presentation, the guests were able to visit the Nelt business complex in Dobanovci and get better acquainted with other services offered by our company within its LSP portfolio.
This service was enabled thanks to our company becoming a member of the European Food Network, headed by the company DACHSER. The network covers 34 EU countries and has approximately 1,74 million square metres of food storage and about 10.500 refrigerator trucks.
– NELT joining the European Food Network is a very significant step for us as a company and is in line with our continuous growth and development strategy. Continuous and direct transport of food products according to the highest standards will influence development and quality of the Western Balkans market. Benefits which are achieved by the beneficiaries of our service are safety of delivery, cost efficiency and simple communication during the shipment tracking. The plan for the next phase is export to EU markets – said Ivan Milićević, Nelt LSP Operations and Development Manager.
– With its innovative approach in business, and stable and continuous growth, the company NELT contributes to fulfilment of uniform standards of our network with regard to processes and information systems which we use to ensure reliability and continuity. Expertise and strong presence of our partners in the local market has a key importance to sustainability of the network. NELT fulfils all these conditions and we regard it as a key figure for the Balkan region – said Heidi Matthäus, European Network Development Director at DACHSER.
