NELT: Intermodal terminal upgrading for better user experience

In the objective of improving of user satisfaction, Nelt has implemented the software of prominent company Sarda, and introduced the Reach Stacker (forklift), brand Hyster in its intermodal terminal processes. In this manner, informational flow and system reliability, as well as increase of speed and efficiency of operations performed on the terminal have additionally been upgraded.

Implementation of Sarda software has enabled the digitalization of the processes at the very terminal as well as communication with external users, which as the end result has increase of speed of the process and information accuracy. Greater efficiency of the work of the terminal has been secured by investment in forklift of American producer Hyster, model 46-33 IH, capacity of 46 tons which enables the handling of all types of containers as well as truck chassis. This investment has been realized with the help of subsidies granted by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure for upgrading of combined transport in the year 2018.

– During the two years of work of the rail logistics terminal we have realized partnerships with marine and logistics giants – Chinese company COSCO, Danish company MAERSK as well as French company CMA CGM. We are recognized as the logistic junction of the Balkans thanks to our excellent location, technical and technological advantages as well as focus on user satisfaction. We have been awarded credit for our contribution to the project „One Belt One Road “. Now we have gone a step further. By investing in eDIS software and Hyster Reach Stacker we have upgraded our service quality by which we wish to additionally ensure the satisfaction of our service users  –  pointed out Jelena Jovanović, Intermodal Terminal Manager in Nelt.
