Urška Fon Satler started her business career at Scania in 2011 as head of HR for EAR. In 2013, she took up the position of Country Manager of the companies Scania Serbia and Scania Macedonia, and later continued her career in the role of Director of Sales support and Marketing of Scania EAR. In 2017, she took over the position of Sales Director for EAR, where she continuously achieved exceptional results for almost eight years. With a rich range of diverse experience, Urška Fon Satler will take over the position of Managing Director of the Scania EAR unit on April 1.
Karol Sokol has been the Managing Director of Scania EAR since 2016. From 1 April 2024, he will assume the role of Managing Director of the Scania Black Sea business unit (Bulgaria and Romania).
Karol Sokol has, since 2017, set an ambitious plan for the expansion and improvement of the Scania service network in the EAR region. During this period, we have opened six new service workshops and renovated the majority of existing ones into modern and energy-efficient facilities.
– Under the leadership of Karol Sokol for more than seven years, Scania EAR has made remarkable progress. With the exception of the pandemic year, during which we faced production challenges, our market share increased from 17% to 20%, making us one of the leading brands in the market. Through investments in new and existing workshops, we have brought the service network closer to our customers. We will continue this work in the future. In addition to providing our customers with undoubtedly the best-in-class vehicles, we aim to deliver the best user experience by continuously improving and optimizing workshop processes to align with customer needs and incorporate modern digital solutions – says Urška Fon Satler.
– We will further advance towards e-mobility, a transition we initiated in 2022. We are actively investing in charging infrastructure. Workshops in Ljubljana and Zagreb are already equipped with state-of-the-art electric charging stations, enabling up to 240 kW charging. The development of charging infrastructure is a crucial prerequisite for the growth of e-mobility. We want to share our knowledge and experiences gained from our own projects with our customers to facilitate their transition as much as possible. Understanding the importance of bringing e-mobility closer to our customers, we will provide test vehicles that they can temporarily incorporate into their fleets and thus test them in real-world conditions. The first such test vehicle will be available from February 2024 onwards – concludes Urška Fon Satler.
